The Christmas gathering tradition is the best way to end a remarkable year for the industry for Filipino Association for Mariners’ Employment, Inc. (FAME). 2010 was another milestone for the Association and to the Philippine Maritime and Seafaring Industry with the many breakthroughs and accomplishments achieved hand in hand with the industry stakeholders and government partners.

Hence early on the first day of December, FAME celebrated its Year-End Get Together and “Green” themed Christmas Party at the Banquet Hall 2 & 3, 2nd Floor of the Philippine International Convention Center (PICC), CCP Complex, Roxas Boulevard, Pasay City.

The party set off with the Association’s President Mr. Ericson M. Marquez’, welcome of member-companies and industry’s partners and friends. Hosted by Mr. Jonathan Palma, President of Bibby Ship Management Phils., Inc., a very active member of FAME, the event included a luscious dinner, carols by the Quijano Ensembles and songs by Mr. Elsiver Esquivel and Mr. Emil Quejada.

Members merrily exchanged gifts and loosen themselves with the funny and lively games prepared for the party. The fabulous raffle gifts made the attendees even more thrilled while it were given away thus made the party complete.

It was a simple casual dinner party yet made grand by the glad tidings and spirit of camaraderie which is strongly felt with the presence of all members, prominent friends from the maritime related government partners and partners from other maritime industry stakeholders.

With high hopes and stronger bond, the Association looks up to another year of success and progress for the world’s no. 1 maritime industry in 2011.
