Remember the big hairs, the bell bottom trousers, the big collars, the long flared skirts with bright designs, and all the mismatched patterns? Remember The Bee Gees and The Jacksons? Remember how we once part of the disco fever? Forget the age, we just want to reminisce memories from the past and feel how it’s like to be in what was once a celebrated era. Thus, this year’s theme was derived from this e famous dance hit from the 70’s - “Staying Alive”

Everyone arrived at the legendary RJ Bistro Bar, a home for live rock ‘n roll music playing 50’s, 60’s and 70’s music located at the Dusit Thani Manila Hotel, EDSA, Makati City on 05 December 2012, funky and fun in their best 70’s retro disco outfit for the 2012 FAME Disco Christmas Party. The Afro hair, polka dots and bright colors made the floor burn with disco fever.

The lights were flashing, the band was playing, the music was on, and the dance floor was just ready for those eager feet to rock & roll. It was a night of fun and a whole lot of dancing. The party was made more interesting by giving special recognition to the extraordinary faces of the night and extraordinary moves on the dance floor. Proving they are the king and queen of the dance floor, Mr. Jose Albar G. Kato – FAME President (Albar Shipping & Trading Corp.) and Ms. Mary Ann Adel (Sekur Manning, Inc.) were crowned as the Dancing King and Dancing Queen. In every event, there are those who just arrive and there are those who make an entrance. Those who made an entrance with their eye-popping costumes, Capt. Reynaldo D. Casareo (Cargo Safeway, Inc.) and Ms. Susan Torres (Naess Shipping Phils., Inc.) were named Far Out Brother and Groovy Chick, respectively, as they stood out among the crowd with their bold outfits. The evening was made more fun and exciting with games and raffle draw.

Defying the usual formal and the traditional Christmas party, this year’s theme dared to be different. It revived the spirits afresh and refreshing atmosphere that will surely usher everyone towards a fresh start in the coming year.
